Kayla is a 29-year-old mother of three who has been married to her husband for over 11 years. She began writing children's books in 2021, focusing on mental health—a journey that led her to discover several new passions along the way.
Kayla is both Autistic and has ADHD, qualities that have shaped her unique perspective and fueled her creativity from a young age. Drawn to the arts throughout her life, she found a meaningful way to combine her love of storytelling with visual expression by illustrating books for others. This passion quickly evolved into painting, and the rest, as they say, is history.
By 2025, Kayla not only sells her artwork through a local gallery but also donates paintings to help support individuals with disabilities. Her pieces, much like her books, are created with intention—each one crafted to carry a message and connect with others on a deeper level.
She hopes to continue writing children's books that empower and support young minds, paint art that speaks to the heart, and maybe even explore poetry from time to time.
